Developing A Good Heart

Developing A Good Heart

A Special New Year Intensive
Feb 1 - 8, 2023

Over the holidays, the Dalai Lama live-streamed teachings from Bodhgaya, the place of the Buddha's enlightenment. As usual, the emphasis was on developing a good heart/bodhicitta. Over and over he stressed that if we want to meet our goals, we should focus on developing a good heart.

Inspired by the Dalai Lama’s recent teachings,
I'm offering a special New Year’s Intensive

Developing A Good Heart
 February 1-8, 2003

Winter and Spring Classes To Be Announced Soon

Community Classes

Community Classes are by donation, which is entirely optional.
If you’d like to make an offering to support me and my teaching, here’s how:
Venmo: @Megan-Mook (last 4 digits: 7706) or PayPal: Meganmook@gmail.com.

Psst - Don’t Sweat Donations (Seriously)

In our society, the gesture of making a donation/offering can feel awkward — just remember that it’s a practice. There’s only one rule: don’t give more than you’re able or comfortable giving. Here’s how I usually engage with this practice: I just give the first number that pops into my mind! Once in a while I fight with myself a little: “Oh no, that feels like too much!” or “Um, that feels a little meager.” After sitting with my feelings, I sometimes readjust, but most of the time I find that my original number just feels right. This method works for me and I’ve heard it works for others, but find what works for you. It’s a practice —and it’s optional! There’s no wrong way. It’s really about bringing awareness to what feels right for you and working with it.

How To Help Non-Meditators Meditate

What students Said

“The do’s & don’t’s of teaching meditation authentically, sponsored by love.”

“For anyone taking a Meditation Teacher Training, or guiding meditations without a deep background in the underlying wisdom and philosophy, this class will help you figure out what your role is in this modern movement of ‘guided meditations’. Megan teaches you what to do, and more importantly, what to avoid, so that you can skillfully be of benefit to beings.”

“Really appreciated the teachings, and found a lot of clarity in my own practice and for how I would like to be in my offerings going forward.”

Creating Happiness

What students said

“I gained wisdom and practical tools, passed along by a gifted teacher amongst the support of an engaged community.”

“Taught me to connect more deeply with my capacity for love - and left me with effective tools for continuing my practice.”

“A beautiful spiritual development course.”
